Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be in a hospital for issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
