Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the U.S. government for older folks, along with those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
