TRICARE is health care insurance that's provided to members of the military of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to handle drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be asked to have a prior approval before partaking in any kind of rehab service, which is often arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehab choice, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits about just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert rehab counselors standing by to assist you today.
