Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the person must obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence treatment, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
