TRICARE is medical insurance which is provided to folks in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehabilitation services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, in addition to rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Those that have TRICARE will obviously have to get a prior authorization before taking part in any kind of rehab service, that may be arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits regarding how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very useful, as it could help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
