Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance coverage. Whether a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a good income. For example, men and women who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even when they earn what might be considered a fair income. Medicaid could also cover the expense of rehabilitation, when someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and needs treatment. There are numerous drug rehab facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct rules for what forms of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services for instance while other states cover far more intensive treatment like a residential stay in long-term drug rehab program. If anyone is involved with substance abuse and desires help, they can use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have the funds or another form of medical insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that is approved within their state.
