Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the government for seniors, and also those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be in a hospital for their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
