TRICARE is health insurance which is provided to members of the armed forces of the United States. TRICARE covers numerous rehab services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, in addition to rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People with TRICARE will of course need to have a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehab service, which can be arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program is the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in such a center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which is often very beneficial, as it can certainly help include family members in the healing and recovery process.
