TRICARE is health insurance which is provided to folks in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would think, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different treatment services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will of course be asked to have a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, that may be arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehab choice, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits as to how long a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very useful, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors standing by to assist you today.
