Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which provide rehab to address both mental health and addiction concerns at the same time. Offering a safe setting is vital to ensure dual diagnosis clients can be at ease and remain free from distraction from things which could compromise their program and development. Rehabilitation counselors will work to identify environmental issues in the client's life including negative relationships or other things which must be addressed in order for the person to be mentally stable and sober t after they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral rehab that helps them develop far better coping methods so that they are able to better handle life situations more effectively when they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than returning to alcohol and drugs as an inferior option.
