Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the government for older persons, along with individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the person will need to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
