Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the government for seniors, along with those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be hospitalized for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
