Medicare is a type of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, and also those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital for their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
