Outpatient rehab enables the rehab client to take part in rehab services without the commitment you might usually have to consent to within an inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment program. This doesn't always work in the rehabilitation client's favor however, specifically those individuals who need to resolve significant drug abuse problems. So although an outpatient rehab may seem like an expedient option, it isn't for everyone. People who do decide on an outpatient rehab will usually attend meetings and take part in therapy and rehab services on a part-time basis each day or several days weekly. For someone with more serious addiction and dependency problems, inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs which offer rehabilitation over a long-term basis will probably be the more beneficial rehabilitation option.
