Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, as well as those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
