Medicare is a form of health care insurance developed by the government for older folks, as well as individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual must obtain treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to see their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital for issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
