TRICARE is medical insurance which is provided to folks in the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to offer treatment to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to cope with alcohol and drug dependence such as detoxification services, along with treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Individuals with TRICARE will obviously be required to have a prior authorization before partaking in any kind of rehab service, which may be arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert rehab counselors standing by to assist you today.
