Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not somebody is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they earn a reasonable income. For example, people who have a lot of dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even if they make what might be considered a reasonable income. Medicaid may also cover the expenses of treatment, if a person has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs treatment. There are many drug rehab facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have different rules for what sorts of treatment are covered. Some states only cover outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover far more intensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug treatment program. If someone is involved in substance abuse and desires help, they could use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid and also don't have the money or some other kind of health insurance to pay for treatment, they could see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug treatment facility which is approved inside their state.
