Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they've got to self pay.
