Rehabilitation counselors will work to spot environmental factors in the client's life such as negative relationships or any other things which have to be addressed in order for the person to be mentally stable and abstinen t whenever they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehabilitation which helps them develop more effective coping mechanisms so that they are better able to deal with life circumstances more proficiently when they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than returning to drugs and alcohol as a possible solution.
