A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a place which provides continual support and help for individuals in recovery. A group home is typically for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for individuals with a mental health disorder or who are experiencing behavioral difficulties for example. Rather than sending people who are experiencing substance abuse or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar facility, a group home can help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals sustain stability inside their lives and have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock. Residents inside a group home may be taking part in rehabilitation services while in residence, or could be taking steps to get their life set up outside the group home to enable them to at some point live independently outside the group home.
