Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the person must receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what sort of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be in a hospital because of their issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
