Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide rehab to deal with both mental health and addiction issues simultaneously. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral treatment which will help them develop more effective coping mechanisms so they are better able to deal with life circumstances well when they leave dual diagnosis rehab instead of returning to drugs and alcohol as an inferior answer.
