Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, as well as people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual must receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
