Dual Diagnosis - Seattle
Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide treatment to deal with both mental health and addiction issues simultaneously. Dual diagnosis is an extremely common situation for people involved in substance abuse, as those that have mental health disorders often self medicate with alcohol and drugs to experience some form of short-term relief from their disorder. Inside a dual diagnosis rehab, rehabilitation counselors will help men and women using a comprehensive treatment plan all aimed at restoring and replenishing mental, emotional and physical health while addressing substance abuse problems. Offering a secure setting is vital to ensure that dual diagnosis clients can feel relaxed and remain free from distraction from things which may compromise their treatment plan and progress. Rehab counselors will continue to work to identify environmental issues in the client's life including negative relationships or any other things which should be addressed in order for the person to stay mentally stable and sober t after they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which will help them develop more effective coping methods so they are better able to deal with life situations better once they depart dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to turning to alcohol and drugs as an inferior solution.
