Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
