Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to receive treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual must be hospitalized because of their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
