Medicaid is a health care insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. There are many drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what forms of rehab are covered. Some states only cover outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover far more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab center. If someone is involved in drug use and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or another form of medical insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug treatment program that's approved inside their state.
