Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, along with people with certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
