A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a place which provides continuous support and assistance for individuals in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but there are also group homes for those with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral difficulties for example. As an alternative to sending those who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar place, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help sustain stability in their lives and have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock. People who reside within a group home could be getting involved in treatment services while in residence, or might be taking actions to get their life setup outside of the group home in order to at some time live on their own outside of the group home.
