Medicaid is a form of medical health insurance available for those who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether an individual qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn an acceptable income. For instance, people who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even though they earn an amount be considered a fair income. Medicaid also can cover the price of rehabilitation, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires treatment. There are several drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but various states have different guidelines for what forms of rehab are covered. Some states only cover outpatient treatment services for example while other states cover more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug rehab facility. If anyone is involved in drug abuse and needs help, they can use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid and also don't have the money or another type of medical insurance to pay for treatment, they can see if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation center that's approved inside their state.
