TRICARE is medical insurance which is offered to folks in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, as well as rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be asked to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehab service, which may be organized using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits concerning how long a TRICARE member can remain in the inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors ready to assist you today.
