Medicaid is a type of medical insurance available for individuals who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance. Whether or not somebody is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a fair income. As an example, men and women who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even if they earn what can be considered a sensible income. Medicaid may also cover the expense of rehab, if a person has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires treatment. There are several drug rehab centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what types of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient treatment services for example while other states cover far more extensive rehabilitation say for example a residential stay in long-term drug rehab facility. If anyone is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they could use their Medicaid health coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or any other form of medical health insurance to pay for rehab, they could check if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehab facility that is approved within their state.
