Self pay is sometimes the only option for those who need rehab in the drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for drug use but have zero health care insurance. It isn't uncommon for an individual dependent on alcohol or drugs not to have private health insurance, as it can be challenging to keep a drug or alcohol habit going while also keeping work. Individuals may not have private medical insurance to begin with, but might make too much money to be eligible for a Medicaid which would cover some types of rehabilitation. If an individual does have to self pay for rehabilitation and doesn't have private health care insurance, it can be a good idea to check out Medicaid to find out if they meet the criteria, if they haven't already succeeded in doing so. Should they have no other choice but to self pay, individuals along with their families can typically come up with the funds to pay for treatment some way. Fortunately, many drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities will work with individuals whose only option is to self pay to make it more possible for them to participate in a good drug rehabilitation program. You'll find payment assistance options available at many drug treatment facilities that qualified clients can take advantage of.
