Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the federal government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the individual must receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
