Medicare is a sort of health insurance created by the federal government for seniors, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual should be hospitalized because of their problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
