Medicare is a type of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, and also people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be in a hospital for problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
