Dual diagnosis rehabs are facilities which provide rehabilitation to address both mental health and addiction issues concurrently. Rehab counselors will continue to work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life including negative relationships or any other things that should be addressed in order for the person to be mentally stable and abstinen t once they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral treatment that helps them develop far better coping methods so that they are better able to handle life circumstances better after they depart dual diagnosis rehab as opposed to returning to drugs and alcohol as an inferior option.
