TRICARE is medical health insurance that is provided to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to offer rehab to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a number of treatment services to handle alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People with TRICARE will naturally be required to get a prior authorization before taking part in any type of treatment service, which is often organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program is the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in this particular center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors waiting to help today.
