Offering gender-specific rehab services has proven very useful in situations where conventional rehab facilities have fallen short, such as coping with situations within a women's life that are distinctive and traumatic. Such concerns may pertain to sexual abuse, physical trauma, psychological abuse, eating disorders, one's family members and motherhood, or other significant issues that are particular to women. Studies show that women could also get embroiled in substance abuse more readily than men, and are more vulnerable to illness due to drug abuse issues than males because of this. Due to duties in their home, women also tend to postpone seeking out and receiving care for addiction, a circumstance which can lead to disaster. That said, treatment services for women are designed so that a women's needs would be the concentration and priority.
