Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which deliver rehabilitation to address both addiction and mental health issues simultaneously. Rehab counselors will work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life such as negative people in their lives or other things which need to be addressed in order for the person to remain mentally stable and sober t whenever they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also reap the benefits of behavioral rehab that helps them develop more effective coping mechanisms so that they are able to better deal with life situations well after they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than returning to drugs and alcohol as a possible option.
