TRICARE is medical insurance that is offered to people in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a number of rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence like detox services, in addition to treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will of course be asked to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the favored rehab option, TRICARE covers 21 days or one inpatient stay in this particular facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very beneficial, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors standing by to help today.
