Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the person will need to acquire treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
