Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehab, they can also get to see their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
