TRICARE is medical health insurance that is provided to people in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would think, and the need to offer rehab to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a variety of treatment services to handle alcohol and drug dependence such as detoxification services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People with TRICARE will obviously have to get a prior approval before taking part in any sort of treatment service, which can be arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program will be the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits about the length of time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very useful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors standing by to assist you today.
