Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only exception is, the person must obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they may also have to see their physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
