Medicaid is a health care insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance. Whether a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they earn a good income. For instance, men and women who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even if they earn what would be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid could also cover the costs of rehabilitation, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs rehab. There are lots of drug rehabilitation centers which accept Medicaid, but various states have distinct rules for what types of treatment are covered. Certain states only cover outpatient treatment services by way of example while other states cover more intensive treatment such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol treatment facility. If anyone is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the money or some other form of health insurance to cover treatment, they could find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in a drug and alcohol rehab program that is approved in their state.
