A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for folks with a mental health problem or who are experiencing behavioral problems for example. Instead of sending people who are experiencing substance abuse or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar facility, a group home will help provide an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability inside their lives and also have counsel and support at their fingertips 24/7. Residents inside a group home may be taking part in treatment services whilst in residence, or could be taking actions to get their life setup outside the group home in order to at one point live independently outside the group home.
