Hearing impaired men and women tend to have an elevated probability of substance abuse issues because of the impairment, and treatment services have to be at hand which cater to their circumstances. People who are hearing impaired can feel isolated, lack motivation, and goalless because of the impairment. ASL rehabilitation services are definitely a must, as well as treatment services which address the unique challenges that hearing impaired individuals face. Group therapy offers a venue for important peer interactions to ensure rehab clients can know that they are not on their own, and that there is hope to resolve their challenge with alcohol and drugs. Individual counseling services can be more tailored for everybody so that their own personal problems can be treated in treatment.
