Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be hospitalized for issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
